The UvisorTM FAU810 flame scanner system from ABB maintains a separate scanner head,
the “SF810” and a separate signal processing unit, the “FAU810”, capable of
connecting to two individual scanner heads simultaneously, allowing cost effective
upgrading of installed or aging flame detection systems independent of the original
 flame scanner supplier. With this new conventional flame scanner system, existing
cabinets and cabling can be reused, thus only replacing faulty or inefficient system
 components, reducing hardware requirements for retrofits. 
 
The UR 450 is a self checked detector specifically designed to detect individual, gas
and atomized oil, burner flames.
The UR450 produces an output pulse rates proportional to the flame signal strength
significant of the intensity of the UV radiation detected in the primary combustion
 zone. The detector control unit Uvisor MFD processes the signal carried by the UR450
scanner head providing reliable detection of the target flame and excellent discrimination
 against the background and adjacent burners flame.
The UR450 flame scanner is available with aiming accessories for wall and opposite wall
 fired utility and industrial boiler.
